Rome Airport - Sorrento

It is your arrival day. Our professional english speaking guide is waiting for you at the airport. You will relax on your way to Sorrento. If you won’t arrive in Sorrento too late you can enjoy a stroll in the historical center of the town and taste one of the restaurants, your driver will be happy to give you some precious tips about it!

Pompeii - Winery - Vesuvius

Today your first stop is Pompeii. This archaeological site is famous all around the world and it is one of the best and well preserved Roman archeological site. Walking along Pompeii original streets is a unique experience. There are many things to see inside Pompeii. The House of the Vetti is well-known for its frescoes, and the Villa of the Mysteries  particularly celebrated for its large-scale paintings perhaps illustrating a scene of initiation into the cult of Dionysius or the Orphic mysteries.

After this amazing tour you will meet your professional english speaking driver and you will be ready for the second part of this day enjoying the visit of the Vesuvius National Park. Positano - Amalfi - Ravello

Driving along the amazing SS163 you will discover a world of beauties and history.

The first stop is in Ravello. It is a natural terrace on the sea, facing the Gulf of Salerno. It has been a famous destination for artists like Richard Wagner, Virginia Wolf and Escher. Here you will have the time to walk around this small village and visit the amazing Villa Rufolo. It is also the place where, during the summer, many classic concerts take place. Your tour continues with a longer stop in Amalfi. You can’t miss here the famous Sant’Andrea cathedral, located in the main square of the town. Once you are in the Duomo it will take you just few steps to discover the beautiful cloister, the “Chiostro del Paradiso”. Walking along the town you can get at the old Arsenal, the hearth of the ancient Republic of Amalfi. Today the building hosts also a museum full of history. After this great visit you will meet your driver and continue the tour to Positano. If you prefer, your driver will be ready and able to give you good suggestions for the lunch break.

Positano is your last stop, a place where it is nice to get lost. The beauty of the town, the smell of lemons and the Mediterranean vegetation will let you enjoy your walk around this unique gemstone. before getting down to the “Spiaggia Grande”you can give you the chance to visit the beautiful Church of Santa Maria Assunta.

Capri boat full day

You can enjoy the Campania Felix region without this great experience. Capri is famous all around the world for its stunning beauty. Your driver will pick you up to your accommodation and he will drive you to Sorrento port where a nice boat with skipper will be waiting for you. During the way to Capri you will have time to stop in one of the many amazing spots and swim. On the boat the skipper will serve you a great italian aperitivo. Once you get in Capri you will have the chance to have a tour of the island with visit of all the grottos including the Blue Grotto. Of course you will have time to stop for a lunch and a walk on the island.

Gastronomic tour

Enjoy Campania region means also enjoy food and typical products! You will discover a local Frantoio in the Sorrento coast. From the best olives comes their extra virgin olive oil D.O.P.controlled by the Agroqualita’ institute. You will have the chance to walk along the ancient olive trees and a local guide will tell you about the history and the tradition of olive oil’s production in Sorrento coast. You will also learn all the stages required in order to produce our wonderful oil. After the visit you can experience the intense tastes, trying all the varieties available: olive oil flavored with Sorrento’s lemons, or oranges, truffles and chilies amongst others. After the first part of this special and delicious day your driver will pick you up at the Frantoio and you will drive to a local farm where you will learn the secrets of our pizza. The staff will wait for you and they will show you all the production’s steps, the importance of local and high quality ingredients, the characteristics of a good wood oven. At the end of this process, you will have, of course, the chance to taste the pizza and enjoy your meal!

Our tour wouldn’t not be complete without a limoncello tasting. So, after your great pizza meal, you will meet your driver and you will have your third stop to let you enjoy a great limoncello. Of course, if you want, you will be able to buy some bottles of it.

Paestum

Today is dedicated to an ancient and marvellousspot in Campania region: Paestum. Paestum is an enchanting place located in the south part of the Sorrento Peninsula and the Amalfi Coast. Now it is listed  as a Unesco Heritage Site. Originally the city was called Poseidonia and it was built by Greek colonists coming from Sybaris, around the 600BC. It grew and it became an important and rich city. In 410BC, Poseidonia was conquered by Lucanians and later by Romans who changed its name in Paestum.

Paestum was quite forgotten until the 18 century when temples were rediscovered by road builders. Today it is possible to visit temples and the museum (you can also decide to buy ticket only for one of these attractions). The large area which is open to the public includes civic buildings, temples, a Roman foro and Amphitheatre.

After this amazing visit you can dedicate few time to another interesting eno-gastronomic attraction: buffalo mozzarella cheese. Your driver will take you in one of the most popular mozzarella cheese factory to admire all the production process and also to have a great tasting.

The buffalo mozzarella cheese sold as Mozzarella di Bufala Campana has been granted the status of Denominazione di Origine controllata (DOC) since 1993. This particular kind of Mozzarella is produced in the area around Paestum but also in some areas of Lazio and Apulia. During your tour you will have the chance to visit animals, check all the production’s steps and finally enjoy a light meal based on this spectacular and delicious specialty.

Sorrento - Caserta - Il Contadino Restaurant - Rome

It is time to leave Sorrento and drive to Rome. But it will be a really full day today! You will stop on the way to Rome at one of the best sight of Campania. Thanks to our english speaking guide you will enjoy the visit of this magnificent Royal Palace, very similar to the Versailles ones and of course you will be impressed by the stunning gardens of the Palace. There is time for a great lunch break in one of our favorite and selected restaurant before driving to Rome  your accommodation in the Eternal City.

This morning is dedicated to the Vatican City. Thanks to our professional guide you will be introduced to the spectacular St. Peter Basilica, the Sistine chapel and to the Vatican museums. In the afternoon our professional guide will let you discover the most important symbol of Rome: the Colosseum.
